Chula Vista is filled with amazing people doing amazing things. Some are big and newsworthy. Others are small acts of kindness that often go unnoticed. The Towne Local Chula Vista magazine is here to celebrate both!
Our featured article this month is on THE Alexa Luna. As the Editor and Chief of the Sun newspaper, she led Southwestern to many local, state and national awards. This was truly remarkable. Not only are her writing skills amazing, but her leadership skills endured her to staff and fellow students alike. When she was called to receive her graduation diploma, the announcer called her THe Alexa Luna, something that had not been done before at a graduation ceremony.
Alexa's journey to becoming a national award winning journalist was not an easy one.
My interview with CEO Stephanie James makes clear the importance of providing quality programs for children.
