The Towne Local Chula Vista Magazine!

Celebrating the past, present and future!

Chula Vista and the South Bay are filled with amazing people doing amazing things.  Some are big and newsworthy. Others are small acts of kindness that often go unnoticed.  The Towne Local Chula Vista magazine is here to celebrate both!  Inside you find the stories behind the headlines.  The people, places and history that make Chula Vista and the South Bay our home.  Art, education, sports, service groups, business and civic leaders combine to form our shared experience.

Our featured article this month is on THE Alexa Lima.  As the Editor-in-Chief of the Sun newspaper, she led Southwestern to a landslide of local, state and national awards.  This was truly remarkable.  Not only are her writing skills amazing, but her leadership skills endeared her to staff and fellow students alike.  When she was called to receive her graduation diploma, the announcer called her THE Alexa Lima, something that had not been done before at a graduation ceremony.
